Wilderness First Aid Class

On December 16th, 2018, the crew at 718 got Wilderness First Aid and CPR certified. Our instruction was Juan, a real NYC EMT (Emergency Medical Tecnician) who teaches for Emergency Care Programs here in Brooklyn.

The class started off with a bang, as Aaron had a real life abrasion that needed tending to (caused by slipping on a sidewalk plywood ramp in the rain, in crocs, running to get coffee before class started.

Juan was all business, and jumped right into the CPR portion of the course. What would a CPR course be without a scary mannequin.

We will be hosting this class again in the near future (early 2019), and will open it up to our community.

We learned a ton, and are grateful knowing that our out-of shop excursions as well as our in-shop environment will be that much more safer.
