We are getting off the bikes and going camping at Malouf Mountain near Beacon, NY. Price includes campsite fees AND round-trip train tickets from Grand Central Central to Beacon

Itinerary

Saturday September 28th, 2019

We will be taking the 8:45am Train from Grand Central (arrives in Beacon at 10.22am). We will then get picked up by the Malouf Shuttle. Our gear will be transported to our campsite, while our group will be dropped at a trail-head to enjoy a 2-3 hour (2 mile) hike in to the site.

Sunday September 29th, 2019

Upon wake up, we will get packed up and take a 4 hour hike (4 mile) to another trail-head, where we will be met by the shuttle bus and our gear for the ride back to the Beacon Train Station. There are many trains heading down to Grand Central, but plan on something early/mid afternoon.

Campsites

We will have 2 Primitive sites and 2 Platform sites, in very close proximity to each other. Please indicate on registration what your preference would be.

Our platform sites give you a little extra shelter and come standard with a chowbox with the cooking equipment you will need for your stay-while still offering an authentic camping experience. And, Our primitive sites are great for those more hearty campers who have their own gear.”

Facilities

“Clean, well-equipped bathroom and showers make a huge difference when camping. We know it is important to you that you have that little luxury when out in the woods, and we pride ourselves on our facilities. Wait until you see the bathhouse – hot showers on one side, flush toilets on the other, and in the middle, sinks for cleaning up and sinks for dishes. There are also two dryers in case your gear gets wet!”

All registrants will receive a 15% Discount Code for purchases in our Online Shop. This is a once-time purchase that can only be used by registrant. Code will be emailed to you upon registration. Its kind of like the REI discount, but you have to do a little work for it!
