We often get asked what the "718" means in our name and logo. Old-timey New Yorkers will recognize 718 as the once-exclusive Area Code of Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island (Manhattan and the Bronx being "212"). Newer Brooklynites assume "718" is our street address.  Old timers will remind us how ironic it is that our actual shop phone number isn't a 718 number.

The logo is a re-working of an old phone's dial-pad, with "Cyclery"replacing the letters usually associated with the number/button.
