2019 Micro-Tour 4 was a 58 mile ride to Mountain Lakes Park in North Salem, NY for a night of camping, cooking and log tossing.

Once again, I decided to take my All-City Gorilla Monsoon with a front and rear bag. This set-up proved to be a little heavy (see pack List…I did bring a drone), and with new tires it felt a bit sluggish ion the road…or, maybe it was me. I had gotten a bunch of flats leading up to this trip on Schwalbe G-Ones. Switched to WTB Byways for this trip and still got a flat.

This trip is usually the longest one we do in our program at 58 miles. The day was very hot, muggy and not without thunderstorms

Morning breaks…for me it broke at 4:15am thanks to some pretty loud nature (frogs and birds). Who knew?

Rolling home on Sunday

This trip was one of my favorites. Great group, fun ride and a great campsite vibe. In years past, this particular ride was shorter on attendance as the ride is long. However, more and more people are finding out about these trips and they are getting bigger and bigger (and funner and funner).

None of this is possible without the support and work from our crew at 718.. Asa Tina Turner sung….all we want of life beyond Thunderdome”….whoops, I mean “Simply the Best!”
