Announcing NYC Local Bike Tours "Battle of Brooklyn" Tour

NYC Local Bike Tours: The Battle of Brooklyn

Join Architect, Bike Shop Owner and former NYC Bike Messenger Joe Nocella for a 9.5 mile bike ride that explores the Battle of Brooklyn. Fee covers the cost of bike and helmet. Limit 10 riders.

Fought in late August 1776, the Battle of Brooklyn (also known as the Battle of Long Island) was the largest, bloodiest and most pivotal engagement of the Revolutionary War. Pitting 32,000 well seasoned British soldiers and hundreds of Royal Navy ships against a ragtag Continental Army of around 8,000, the stories of heroism and gallantry still can make one’s hair stand on end.

The moments that happened in Brooklyn surely saved the Continental Army to fight another day, and without a doubt saved a nation.
